When you pit a little 'cute, fluffy, small woodland creatures against a horde of ravenous undead, it is safe to say that we all know who will win that battle. Well, most of the time. With Paladog!, The last defense game for the iPhone, it turns out that the fuzzy wuzzies have some teeth quite substantial and are not afraid to take a bite out of the Soulless Legions of Evil.
The game takes place on a future Earth, one in which humanity has been wiped out by the gods angry. As a result, animals have evolved into the dominant species on the planet confused and have lived in peace for a while 'time. However, the forces of darkness finally decide to get up and wipe them all out. A hero is born in the form of Paladog, a Scottish terrier heroic leading his animal brothers in the war against all that is evil.
Paladog! is cute and charming, but it quickly depletes its host, because if forces you to replay levels way too many times if you want to keep on going. There is plenty to do in the game, but the fact that players have to repeat their battles if they want to succeed wears its timeless charm, especially when there are so content to play.
